That's messed up. Syllakh's promotional company is Roy Jones's and he's trying to run it like the Mob back in the day or Don King. You only get to fight my fighter for options so win or lose i as a promoter am covered either way. Disappointed in Roy Jones and Square Ring.

here's a link to his boxrec. the results from lots of his big tournaments are there. there's at least three stoppage losses in there. one walk over, too, but who knows what could have happened.

he's been thrice stopped as an amateur. you named two of them, and the other was at FW and more than a decade ago.

i've seen sillakh a good deal. i keep my own council on a fighter and i dont need you or teddy atlas to tell me otherwise, with all respect. he's talented, but i dont like how he reacts to the few hard shots i've seen him take. if you care to look i was bringing up the stoppage losses on his amateur record before atlas said that on the FNF air. i certainly wouldnt care to go through the trouble.

anyway, there are the big tournament results and the stoppages. on boxrec of all places

that's honestly nobody's fault but his

with his talent and pedigree he should have found solid management and signed a long term deal with a top flight promotor early on in his career.

You overhype a fighter and claim so and so is ducking him, and that he's gonna beat this top guy, and that other top guy. Then they overhyped fighter loses and all of his fans disappear.

I neither like him or don't like him right now. He's 27 and has done nothing. Andre Ward at 27 had already made his mark as an elite SMW. Sillakh is literally #10 in The Ring rankings, and I think The Ring is being generous.
Andre Ward is amagazine, but he turn pro in 2004 Sillakh in 2008. And Ward have good fights because the super 6. Probably if Sillakh fight in a super 6 in 175 he can be like Ward. But Sillakh win by KO some battles

I'm a big fan of the black russian but I don't think anyone is ducking him really, not yet anyways. It's a matter of the top names fighting eachother. Hopkins/Dawson/Pascal and now Cloud all fighting eachother. Sillakh is the odd man out because of risk/reward. He isn't a big name yet nor does he have a title, so the question is why would hopkins/dawson/pascal/cloud want to fight him now when they can make more money against eachother, not to mention fight for belts and be in bigger fights? Doesn't make sense yet. So Sillakh just have to keep on trucking and his shot will come.

So he got stopped once as a 14/15 year old at FW, irrelevant.

Korobov stoppage was due to point differental. RSCO (ref stops contest outclassed) In 2005 i think it was 15 points and they stop it, now its 20. So he wasn't knocked out.

              Beterbiev he was KTFO

Walk over means the fight didn't happen, he never entered the ring.

So he was knocked out once in over 320 fights.

i think we'll see his chin exposed eventually. 175 is a bit weak, but there are some guy at 168 that could get the job done. bute, dirrel, and less of a puncher, but ward would beat the hell out of him

if dawson actually let his hands go he'd stop sillahk as well.

i think the kid still needs a lot of time. he does have some talent though, certainly. he's huge.
Only seen a few fights of his but I can see him getting KOed a few times.

Bad habit of leaving his hands super low. Doesnt bring his gloves back.

It may be ok to do that VS the level of comp he is fighting now but thats going to backfire against top guys.

Would like to see him with some more seasoning against a guy like Campillo or an Edison Miranda.

Syllakh owned Despaigne. Yordenis (9-2) is a solid fighter, but he didn't look all that great against Edison Miranda and he lost his last fight versus Cornelius White.

The only time I ever saw the "Black Russian" fight was against Despaigne, but I was very impressed. Now I come to read about his apparently questionable chin and I wonder. I hope Ismayl’s beard doesn’t keep him from reaching the top. I really enjoyed watching the kid fight, even though I was rooting for Yordenis.

He needs a little more exposure. Right now he is too high risk/low reward. It would be a bad career choice for a top guy in the division to fight him right now.

It's kind of like companies who only want to hire someone with previous experience.
