Mosley is at least a step-up in competition. Worst-case scenario, he winds up being just a familiar name on Canelo's record. But I think Canelo is facing better competition than Chavez Jr.

I consider even Escobedo an okay fight/decent fight, nothing great. He better fight someone like Argenis Mendez, Juan Carlos Salgado, before leaving 130.

I just don't get this. He took a huge step up with Ponce De Leon, and than had solid fights with Litzau and Perez, now Sykes???? It's criminal.

That wasn't his fault.........He was suppose to fight WBO champ Ricky Burns but Burns vacated instead and straight up stopped negotiations, and went to 135. And he was suppose to fight Eloy Perez, a Top 10 SFW contender for the vacant title, but Perez didn't like the money he was offered for having to travel. He wound up fighting Perez anyway.

But don't make it seem like Broner sought after Rodriguez to get that title, the chamo he wa suppose to fight vacated and the WBO's #1 contender didn't like the money at the time.

Sykes is a s**t fight, pointless, saved a little bit by the fact that it would be a 10 round non-title fight, and that Broner is fighting 2 more times this year after May. Still, he should be fighting someone like Mendez or Burgos in May.

dont understand why he would be fighting a non-title fight, against a guy with 5ko 's at that. why isn't he fighting a ranked contender for the title? If it's to give him exposure, the best way for that would to be fighting a name opponent. If he's too young or needs exposure or really anything else, then he shouldn't have the title jmo
