    I salute Mauricio Herrera.

He gave an incredible effort vs Alvarado.

He's capable of beating a lot guys at 140.

He came to fight and he came to win, but got outgunned.

He needs a break and I hope to see him again.

Maybe he can fight Joan Guzman when he heals up.

Herrera looked damn good against Alvarado at times, Mike was just too much. I liked how he fought off the ropes. I'd pick him to beat a lot of guys at 140.

The boy had heart...if he had more power he woulda won that fight. Regardless, he should be proud cuz him and Alverado hands down was the best fight on that garbage ppv.

definitely, if it was a lil bit more competitive it could've been a FOTY candidate.

He made me a fan, I really liked his Morales like instinct of firing back as soon as he got caught

It was great, he fought incredible off the ropes... If he could of slipped about 15% more of the incoming punches, and given maybe 10% more back it couldve been a different outcome... Loved when he came back with 4-5-6-7 punches in a row.

He put on a great show, but he lost the fight because of his piss poor gameplan. He wanted to go toe to toe which a much stronger man to prove a point and his body could only take so much before slowing. A little more movement and maybe being a little less brave he could of school alvarado like he did in the 2nd round.

Definitely made me a fan. I think he could've beat Alvarado if he stayed boxing but instead it felt like he was trying to prove a point that he could fight off the ropes.

Since everyone is talking about all these matchups, how about:

                  Herrera vs Rios

Make it happen, get a poll started. I got Herrera unless he decides to fight on the ropes again.

A student of the game, I'm a fan.

Hope to see him in some good fights over the next few years.
