i agree... it's not about taylor... it's about hopkins beating him... taylor barely won the first encounter and not because he outskilled hopkins, it's because hopkins started slow. if hopkins started out strong and finished the way he finished, he could have ko'ed taylor or could have gotten the UD at least.

    hopkins via UD

Conversely, if Taylor is more relaxed in the second fight and doesn't burn out, Hopkins will be out of luck again.

We know what to expect from Hopkins. He is the experienced pro, and knows that he had no success with running around and fighting at a distance. He will come inside in the second fight and make it a rough fight, but not from round 1 when Taylor is strongest. I think Hopkins tries to take it up a notch somewhere around round 4.

Taylor needs to anticipate that and not waste energy in the first 4 rounds. In this fight, it's okay if he splits the early rounds with Hopkins and comes on late.

We will see some very excellent middle rounds with both going at each other. Then Hopkins will tire and Taylor will cruise to a UD.

That is quite a bit diferent than the first fight, but Hopkins surely will not repeat the mistakes he made early in the first fight, and the Taylor camp are confident and well prepared.

This should be a terrific fight. Of course, your guess is as good as mine!

        hmm

I read the article, thank you very much. It's all about Hopkins and what Hops can do and how the 12 rd was scored wrong and blah blah blah blah, etc.

**** gets old. Like I said, press is on his balls. Stop defending it. If you think he's gonna win, that's fine. I can see why. But the press is obviously pulling favorites here, and it gets annoying.

taylor's confidence is one of his attributes, and if he wins, that is one of the reasons why
im still unsure about this fight, but excited as hell for it

Tyalor is going to win tis fight!!! A KO is difficult to see, but Taylor will win tis one. He's mo athletic, he's got mo energy and he's big guy! Hopkins won't bully Taylor. It's gonna be ta otha way around.

Key word is "over-confidence". My guess is this fight will be fought by Taylor in the same fashion as before, busy busy busy as well as CAUTIOUS. But Hopkins will be the one being cautious, since he knows that his age no longer gives him the stamina he needs. He will tee off on Taylor's combos and try to get a fighting changing counter punch. He will sneak in (much more this time) his patented head charge and right cross punch that has been the demise of many of his challengers.

Taylor has the quickness and reactive slickness to avoid an early disaster by Hopkins' counters. But he will slow down again and Hopkins will capitolize on that (without the posing he did when taylor was out on his feet) in the late rounds and win by KO.
