Rios is not likeable more like hated

Rios the profane foull sewer mouthed lout is not a boxing favorite. witness the very small crowd on hand no audience. Rios is not a PPV fighter but a small time clown. terrible decision.

Are you 80 years old? Fired from your job because you cant see? Government took your license because you're too senile?

Dont worry, you can always become a Boxing Judge..

more often Abril stood right in the pocket, picking Rios off with his gloves and then whipping rights home. Stamina and durability describe what Abril showed off tonight. Oh, and craft.

Rios was cheated by whoever let him try to fight at Lightweight again maybe. Otherwise, he got spanked tonight in every facet.
All true; but I especially like your word, "craft." Abril looked like a cagey veteran (with only 20 pro fights) against a primitive novice. Richard put on a display of what boxing is supposed to be about: skill. I enjoy a good war as much as the next guy, but this is boxing, not a tough-man contest. Abril won himself at least one new fan on Saturday...me.

Another blight on boxing. Rios has nothing.

Gamboa would've sparked you in less than 8 in your poor condition.
He might have but it might be a mistake to do much comparing here. Gamboa isn't four inches taller, has a leaky defense, and wouldn't be taking away the left hook inside the same way at all. I always thought Rios trying to get back to 135 was Gamboa's shining chance in the fight and he certainly had l;ess snap than he did for fights like Peterson and Antillon last night.

It doesn't matter. Gamboa took his ball and went home.

No Gamboa said to Arum, you're not gonna screw me with my money and my win.

Maybe the former (though the facts make that argument silly) but the latter wasn't an issue. That was a different fight, different profile...there's no reason to think Gamboa would have been treated the same on the cards. Abril was a complete unknown on a card almost no one (relatively) saw or was going to see.

As compared to who? Brandon Rios? A guy with no technique and sloppy power? Give me a break..

Brandon Rios is no star, nobody will ever think this guy deserve's to be in the top 10 p4p. He doesnt have any technique, and he doesnt have mega power to trouble guys. A 1 trick pony who needs corrupt bribery to win (see Devon Alexander x3)

It was 9-3, MAYBE 8-4, Abril. Can't even see any way past it. Dude got robbed. Rationalize as you see fit.

                    Dude is a tough out.

But as far as Gamboa, the Rios of last night would be still counting sheep.

Snot bubbles, mouthpiece knocked into the audience, Darryl Dawkins style.

"Babeh cryin, (You heard me right) rump roastin, bun toastin.."

Bob Arum is a fraud and bad for boxing

Isn't it obvious, the last 3 big obviously fraudulent score cards were the Marquez Pac fight, the Juanma fight (Juanma ahead on the cards when he was knocked out) and now the Rios fight.

What's the common denominator? Exactly all 3 are Top Rank fighters and they must win as every other boxer with some name and pedigree is somewhere else

It cannot be proven but IMHO Bob is a big fraud, he is killing boxing and he is also the reason why we never saw Pac VS Mayweather in their prime ( I couldn't be bothered abt that fight anymore now it's too late)

Bob Arum does not give a flying f about the people who make him and the fighters money indeed us the fans

Boxing needs a desperate clean up
