don't buy that fight man. just stream it. pac will prolly dominate fair and square. but if by chance he gets whooped by bradley he will still get a split decision like last night.

people might say "buttt Bradley is under Bob Arum too so he won't get robbed" - that hardly matters. Bradley is no star and has no following of note. Bob would gladly rob him. if you watched the salido-lopez fight, salido was about to get robbed on the cards but he saved his own ass by KO'ing Juanma.

Bob Arum is disgusting human being, it should have been him that died a while ago and not his son

Then you have to have a clue in your head or a bit of su****ion that you know what the outcome will be. I guess you can call it "having faith on your promoter." And if people aren't gonna boycott Top Rank then they should at least boycott Rios. The guy missed weight twice in a row and then goes on parading after the fight as if he knew he won. There's no way you parade after being schooled like that. Instead of walk to your corner with your head down in shame, for missing weight and being schooled after talking all that smack.
I've come to the point where I try to view a boxer by what he does in the ring; sometimes knowing their story or history makes it easier to like or dislike them, but I won't allow a character flaw like arrogance to detract from a brilliant in-ring performance (Mayweather perhaps).

Brandon Rios got beat up. He was weight drained, again, and I think we can expect him to finally move up to 140 now. Like any other guy, though, he has a family and people he loves, things he wants to do, and he's just making a living. He pays a promoter to line up big fights for him so he can provide for his family. Rios is in the hurt game for a career.

I won't fault Brandon for one garbage decision when I don't have any reason to personally penalize him. I'm willing to wait and see who he fights next, and if he can earn his reputation back by what he does in that fight...

Bob Arum and Top Rank are corrupt. That seems likely to some extent. I'm not going to throw Rios, Pacquiao, Chavez, etc. under the bus, though. They still deserve a right to live as prize fighters; if this is an isolated incident, Rios shouldn't be blamed.

Clearly Brandon is going to have issues moving up in weight if he can't **** as hard, so this might all be a moot point by next year if he's put in there with someone legitimate at junior welterweight...

You throw the word "robbed" too loosely. Everyone and their grandmother knows JMM vs. Rios is going to be a competitive FoTY scrap. It's not going to be a boxing match.

Rios vs Abril wasn't even competitive and look what happened? My impression and half of the people's here as the decision was coming up was, there's no way this kid can get robbed of 9-10 rounds (and that's being modest). And boom sure enough he was robbed blatantly. Im sorry but given the circumstances lately with not just Arum but boxing and judging as a whole, that is the only choice of word I can come up with right now.

Im just a very disappointed and disgusted fan right now.

You have the right to feel that way and Im not here to convince you or anyone else to see things my way. Just throwing it out there for people to take into consideration and realize how jacked up things are right now.

              Understood.

I personally think small group boycotts will just further hurt boxing with the falling revenues. The best solution I've heard is to force local, state, and eventually federal legislatures to create a federally regulated boxing commission that is responsible for things such as licencor of judges, promoters, and referees. That would require taking the anger and bitterness from a robbery like last night and using it to fuel extended motivation to change things....

Create something akin to the NFL commission

Like someone mentioned, the sport is ALREADY hurt and by us supporting this kinda crap from last night, it only allows them to do it furthermore. I think that is what we all hope for one day, for a commission like the other sports. But how long has boxing been around and we still haven't gotten it yet?
