Hopkins is a future hall of famer and all, a legend, etc. But it looked to me as if he wanted a way out.

And from what I saw Dawson was being really aggressive and Hopkins didn't look too comfortable in there. I don't know what highlights you're talking about.

he got his leg swept and slammed. the highlights on hbo now show it clearly. Dawson is the one who wanted out of the fight. Thats why he is projecting it on to Hopkins so hard.

2 things I'll always remember about Hopkins, the first is he was a LHW fighting blown up WW's all the way down at MW. the second is he cheats during fights and acts up when anyone returns the favour. guy rates below *****philes in my eyes.
he was a true middleweight who came in under the limit into 40. you're flat out wrong. he just had a great physique for the division. no light heavyweight can shrink down to 157 safely and still fight. use common sense.

I thought Dawson was out countering Hopkins while coming forward and the straight left that he landed when Hopkins was against the ropes was the hardest shot in the fight. I didn't see Hopkins doing anything effective but to be fair it only went a round and a half. I knew Hopkins was in trouble the moment he went to grab Dawson and rough him up, Dawson slung him like he was a kid (and I'm not talking about the end of the fight). Bad match up for him IMO.

hbo has this thing called the buzz. they been showing 1 on hopkins dawson this weekend. clearly shows the mental breakdown chad had by slamming him and a good slow motion shot of hopkins landing a flush right hand.

the best punch of the fight was the right hand that made dawsons glove hit the canvas

Its called neutralizing Hopkins offense. Dawson said hes been watching Hopkins since he was a kid, he knows bad things can happen if he let Hopkins get too close to where he could hit low, head butt ect so he simply pushed him off. Why give Hopkins any of those opportunities?

LOL me and you both know Hopkins leaned on him and he was off balance.

That is absolutely ridiculous. Hopkins jumped on his back. The first punch he threw came with a headbutt right alongside it. Hopkins made it very clear he was going to fight dirty as hell, and Dawson let it be known he wasn't standing for it. The poor old man couldn't handle falling to the mat.

he didnt simply push him off. he clearly hooked the leg then pushed.

Why is Hopkins allowed to fight dirty, but Dawson can't respond in any way? It's the same with everyone Hopkins fights, if they do anything to respond to his dirty tactics, he moans and whines and overreacts, and his opponent gets criticized. No one cares that Hopkins is pulling every dirty trick he can.
