What is so hard to understand? Rios Arum and everybody except for Gamboa himself wanted to make a Rios vs Gamboa "super fight" happen that is why he stayed at 135 and after Gamboa pulled out Rios did the honorable thing in keeping the date.

Who drains that low? If you're good you're good. Why is the need to stoop down to the "little" guys? For the advantage? Once that hit is hard at a lower weight; your mind frame drops.

While I agree that he's cutting too low, if you're going to make the above argument, you can apply it to pretty much anyone who cuts weight (which is almost everyone.) .

pretty much everyone else does so within parameters ie the defined weight categories. Ríos deosn't seem to think that it applies to him

and the dishonorable thing in weighing in heavy AGAIN, then going away and coming back at 139lbs.
could they not have gone for a catchweight? or are Top Rank a bit too traditional to do such a silly thing as that??????! (hint: think Pacquiao)
or could they not have just found someone at 140lbs????
