Rios may still look drained at 140.

He's looks like a freaking zombie and has in his past few fights.

Not sure how much 3 pounds would even help him. (137 today)

    Thoughts?

it's true..........everyone is screaming about him moving to 140 but he will still struggle with even that weight.

he would have to go to 147........

exactly man he probably make 140 but still be drained and won't have that size advantage I think Marquez should go the Pacquiao route and request a 1 million per pound fine.

or just fight him at welter

For his sake, I hope he could stay at 140 where he could be a player but at 147 it would be "Rios who?" IMO. Out of the top 10 147 lbers who can he possibly beat?

Do you think this may owe something to ill discipline outside the ring?

I don't know. They say he had a great camp. But every pic I saw he looked big.

              Too big.

He blamed the Murray issue on his weight loss tactics..

              Its hard to tell.

If this woulda been GAMBOA vs RIOS as originally planned...I could only image how big of a deal this woulda been right now. Rios needs to fight at least at 140 IMO.

I ask because I think you're right about him struggling to make 140. Garcia will always say they had a good camp, but he cant babysit the guy and he has a bit of a reputation outside the ring. I dont know man, but as good a fighter as Rios is he doesnt strike me as being the brightest or most disciplined guy in the world.

then go the corrales and mosley route skipping JWW straight to WW...

problem is, will he bring all the advantages he had at LW over at WW?

mosley did bring some... it was enough for a while but what those twin losses to vernon tells us?

and chico? he looked out of place there in his fight with clottey... clottey was just too strong for him...

with that said... who knows? rios might prove to be a genuine WW afterall...
