I've been a Katsidis fan for ages, but it's time for Michael to consider taking some time off, reinventing himself or deciding whether it's time to hang'em up entirely. IMO, the jr welter division just isn't the division for him. His pressure/power doesn't transfer well, and watching this fight in person, ring side, it's REALLY showed. Mensah wasn't bothered by 90% of the shots Michael threw, and then hurt him really bad in the 9th with a crippling left hook to the body. The pressure style just isn't working with guys who can put on 5 extra pounds of muscle/shock resistance at 140 as opposed to 135. I know he didn't have a whole lot of success against top tier opponents at 135 either, but the style at least could make things interesting. At 140, guys won't be bothered by his shots and a no name like Albert Mensah showed that this evening. The split from trainer Brendan Smith didn't really matter tonight, and unfortunately, it's time for Katsidis to look in the mirror and really dig deep to figure out where he should/needs be at this stage of his battle torn career.Comment

Wow...bull**** score cards. 98-92 sounded about right but the other two score cards can **** off...Katsidis cannot box to save a life. He should get another New Trainer - The Fortune move was terrible. I'd at least have taught Katsidis to stop trying to walk down every single opponent, use the jab more and just generally try to box.
Mensah looked pretty good. He did remind me of Mayweather with his rolls but he got careless around the 7th round when he was evidently going for the KO.Comment

It's over, Kats. Hang 'em up, call it a day, be a good husband to your wife and a good dad to your daughter. No reason to start being just another opponent to the Mensahs of this world, when you have a beautiful family at home who need you more than boxing does. :conf3:Comment
