well believe it or not mosley was at the time ranked the 3rd or 2nd best welterweight (since floyd was still on his "retirement/vacation"). I still thought it was a poor choice of an opponent considering timothy bradley and marquez were both brought up as other potential opponents at the time. but the pacquiao fight further exposed mosley as being far past his prime and not being able to pull the trigger anymore. Now canelo who is 19 years younger is fighting a guy who is not only widely considered done, but at a weight class he isn't even ranked at...
