If i'm petersons managers there's no way i agree to let joe crotez referee the fight. he's ruined too many good fights and will favour khan big time. cortez reffing is a major handicap for peterson, i really hope its changed.

these tactics, appeals and complaints by golden boy are starting to wear on me, and i would generally say i like golden boy much more than top rank. its just b.s.

i never knew cortez was the ref. if he is, then the fight will probably be ruined.

Will be an awful fight if he's in charge.

The guy shouldn't be in charge of major fights anyway. I've never really been impressed with this guy.

Most American referees are quick to break fighters up, I think everyone including Khan-Peterson were surprised by the refereeing of Joe Cooper. Well maybe the Peterson camp knew something about it in actual fact. But if you put any of the top tier refs in, the style of refereeing favours Khan. Smoger, Cortez, Bayless, etc will break the fighters up swiftly which heavily favours the Brit.

That will be the difference in this fight, Mark my words, it will still be very competitive but will be a lopsided decision for Khan.

I do agree that Cortez should not be refereeing anymore, but to be honest most of the other big American officials referee with the same style, but without the mistakes. I would not like to see him referee big fights anymore.

He allows in-fighting more than the others, but he still will break fighters up quick if they tie up. Not like British refs for example who allow you to hold and give you time to work out from the clinch. Smoger is my favourite ref tbh, he has the best balance, and is pretty consistent.

Maybe he is corrupt, never was totally sure, but he has in the last few years become incompetent that is for a fact.
