im not a Cortez fan but i wouldn't simply say that he prevents inside fighting. I would just call him a ref that is too involved, too into himself being part of the show, a lot like the ref Cooper in DC, who also was too into it, and started off the fight with some self-promoting slogan of "lets see some thunder", like Cortez' "im fair but im firm". Both guys are disturbing refs, along with Mercante Jr. in NY, who forces guys to continue fighting when they're hurt. The two best guys in Vegas to me are Vic Drakulich and Tony Weeks.

Cortez is the Ref then Peterson is at a disadvantage already.

It's up to him to object. Boxing fans don't want to see Cortez again.

Just shows how confident Peterson in his ability to pick up where he left off in the last fight.

If I were him I would certainly object to Cortez's involvement and this is exactly the kind of interview that makes me wonder why anyone would want Amir Khan to win.

Khan is a complete tool outside of the ring, and a runner inside of it. Peterson is a gentleman outside the ring and fights like a bulldog inside of it.

Tough to count on that, and while that may be true it is a dumb way to think because what if he isn't the same, then you are behind the 8-ball from the jump.

Really Peterson should be focusing on what could Khan do that is simple to improve his chances of winning, he is unlikely to greatly change and Roach is not a guy that is into complex plans but there are little things Khan could do to change it up.

The way to beat Khan is to do just what Peterson did the first fight but this time he needs to do it from round 1 and be even more active because they aren't going to hand him to victory this time, thats a fact...
but Judah did not duck and slip to GET INSIDE, he ducked and slipped and stayed on THE OUTSIDE giving KHAN enough room to get off with his Speed

you have to get inside and get in Khan's chest, if you smother him, he can't get off with his Speed, he will start to PUSH OFF TO CREATE SPACE

I agree, I don't think Khan will change (judging by Roach's ability to "change" Pacquiao) but Peterson should be ready in case Khan brings something different to the table.

I think Khan wins this time around, I think he learned a lesson.
