Cuba hasn’t had the chance to build pro boxers from the ground up. Most of the Cuban boxers that compete in the professional ranks today have been in the amateur far too long and it is difficult to get rid of the style. Also most arrive to the pros in their late 20s or early 30s which makes it more difficult to adapt and must also do it in less time. Also, they come in such small numbers that the room for failure is very high. It will be very interesting to see a new, large contingent of Cuban prospects develop into professionals from the very start. I bet they will claim the top 1 or 2 spot. Only time will tell.

1. USA
2. MEXICO
Cuba should be there if it continues at the pace it is going. Their are a ton of russian fighters that should be making more of an impact.
The Phillipines has two top fighters in the whole sport in Pac and Donaire (depending which side of the pond you put him in)Last edited by STREET CLEANER; 04-12-2012, 02:15 PM.

all deserve to be mentioned as Top 5-10 contenders, but yeah the top 3 are definitely USA and Mexico together with the UK or Cuba at the moment.
Puerto Rico are hurting at the moment, but it's a population issue...
