Russell Jr suffers ankle injury. April 21st bout is off.

I didn't see anyone post this yet so here it is.

First he lost his slot cause of Berto injury then his opponent now he gets injured. The guy needs to catch a break cause I'm fiending to watch him fight again.

        Very disappointing news.
But his time will come. It's inevitable.

A bit premature, but he could be in Broner's position with a few more fights, but apart from fighting him or going to Japan (Uchiyama and Ao), it looks like his best bet for a major title would be to bring Juan Carlos Salgado to the US, although he only defended in Mexico so far.

Yea, at this point Broner is gonna take off on him. He still young tho so we could stay optimistic.

Bad news. 2012 has not started off good for Russell. Was hoping this year he'd get into title contention.
