Comments Thread For: Team Caballero Worried as The Garcia Deadline Looms

Rogelio Espino, the promoter for WBA featherweight champion Celestino "Pelenchín" Caballero (36-4, 23KOs), is getting worried. Espino has been talking with Top Rank about finalizing a fight between Caballero and mandatory challenger Mikey Garcia (28-0, 24KOs), but nothing concrete is happening and the World Boxing Association has given both sides until Friday to reach an agreement.

Who cares? Mikey is a boring fighter which is why he hasn't got any big shots up until now. Mikey is a very good fighter but all he wants to do is box he doesn't have a killer instinct and is way too patient. I don't see him losing though until he fights someone with skill and faster hands than him (not that his are fast).

Waiting for Pelenchín to talk abut how García fears him.

This seems to be the proper step up in competion for Garcia an aging beltholder who punches wide and should be there for a down-the-middle shooter like Garcia plus it'll get him accustomed to fighting at a faster pace bcse of Caba being the busier guy like he ususally is

LOL he is a boxer and he does have killer instinct ever fighter he hurts he gets out of their 90% of the time in that same round. If you want a brawler watch rios or kirkland or someone but if you like boxing and boxers then Garcia is the man.
