Have those fights in regular HBO, and just let Marquez do his Fedchenko fight down in Mexico.

Would this have been a much better idea instead of the JMM-Fedchenko, Rios-Abril, Alvarado-Herrera PPV????

I bought it because I have money to spare this month, and my boy Alvarado is on it. But I still say the PPV #'s are going to be terrible probably.

It's crazy to think there's going to be PPV's this year in April, May, June, July, September, November, and December potentially. It's going to hurt PPV #'s on some of those cards most likely.

Rios-Alvarado and Gesta-Abril would have been great fights, 50/50 fights.

Yeah I remember reading that he's the opening bout for it. It's against a nobody though I think.

I'm sure that HBO would have accepted Rios-Avlarado and Gesta-Abril. I don't see Alvarado getting a Rios shot unless Rios loses to marquez in July though. I think Arum wants Rios to pull an upset over Marquez at 140 in July, than match him with Pacquiao for November. It'll be a good fight if Rios can pull that off, but I doubt it. Abril is no slouch like some are claiming. Rios better come ready and hopefully not drained.

IMO, Mike Jones is going to win the IBF and he'll probably be Pac's next opponent if he wins. An undefeated AA champ whose tall? Yea, I could see that happening with Rios being next spring.
If that happens though, Arum (who I think works with, but doesn't promote Jones) Will have to do some major exposing of Jones.

they woudnt put gesta in with abril because frankly, thats too dangerous of a fight for him and top rank doesnt roll that way. either way i agree that would have made a good hbo card.
