Latimore vs Quintana; Vargas vs Gomez on Mayweather-Cotto undercard

    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...ther-undercard

I have Latimore beating Quintana via SD.

I actually have Gomez beating Vargas as long as no funny stuff goes on. Gomez looked really good against Canelo, while Vargas looked below average against Lopez. I wasn't impressed with Vargas at all.

I have Gomez beating him via UD.

    Thoughts?

My thoughts exactly. Gomez is a good fighter, he's not elite but he won't lay over for you. I see him stalking Vargas the whole fight, going to the body and head. He'll do what Lopez couldn't and take advantage of Vargas when he's resting.
I have Gomez winning and the only way he loses is by robbery... I don't see Vargas knocking him out. And by robbery i'm counting B.S TKO's.

I just realized, what weight is this at? I know Vargas is a JWW, but has been fighting at like 143 or something like that. Will it be at a CW at WW, JWW or WW

what a ****ty undercard, for such a high profile event they could have got higher profile undercards. Ya mosley vs canelo is high profile but its a major mismatch and itll be boring

Canelo is a possible Mayweather opponent and Latimore + Vargas are Mayweather Promotion boxers.... so it's there to benefit him.

More than likely it will be at WW, since Vargas just fought Tyner at WW on Showbox recently.

Im not sure about Latimore...she's a bit "iffy". He had total control in his last bout on Shobox against Nunez (a last minute replacement).

Then suddenly, he gets hit with an overhand punch and goes down...he was seeeeriously hurt after that punch.

I doubt it Quintana will give him all that much breathing room in this one.

That's one crappy undercard for such a big event.

Each fighter has a name veteran fighter with some type of name to progress their career foward.

It looks like a TR undercard if you ask me
