They're about the same skill level. Lee is probably a better boxer. Chavez Jr throws more punches.

Lee isn't great, but you don't have to be great, or even very good, to beat Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr needs to keep this fight up close, which is what he prefers anyways.

Will the fight be in Texas? It will be hard for Lee to get a decision there

Lee is a not journey man. But also he is nothing special. He is a solid fighter with regular speed, punching power, stamina and average chin. He doesn't shine in any category and is why they picked him to fight cause he has some type of respect cause Steward trains him

By the theory of transitive relation, which we all know is the only accurate way of proving ANYTHING in boxing, yes

            Example.

Ross Purrity beat Wlad, who beat Rahman, who beat lewis, who beat tyson, who beat berbick, who beat Ali.

Mind you, all of these are by stoppage as well...

Omar Amaya KOed Alexis Arguello and he gets in the HOF what a sham and no i do not compare Lee to the great Arguello but writing him off just because he lost one fight is unfair.I think Andy will be winning up to the 9th but i worry he might fade and Jr may come on strong.Chavez is still underrated on here alot as is Lee seemingly by some

Nobody is hyping up Lee or chavez for that matter but both have surely improve for fans to be a little bit excited about the match up, If Chavez wins comfortably then i wouldnt be surprise if he beats Sergio Martinez in september.

This is my main concern with Andy Lee, he fades in later rounds.

                    Lee isn't a journeymen, he's pretty good.

He did get stopped by Brian Vera, although it was early in his career, and he avenged that loss in dominant fashion last year.

A fight I look at where Lee struggled big time was with Craig McEwan, until he stopped McEwan of course. McEwan gave him all he could handle and tried to pressure Lee a lot during that fight, and Lee struggled with it.

I can see Lee winning some rounds and the fight being close going into the later rounds, and than Julio stopping him. I just think Julio is going to wear him down, get him on the ropes, and it'll be a TKO in rounds 9-10.

If Lee wants to win, he has to stick and move all night, and clearly win the majority of the rounds. If Julio has his moments in a round, even though Lee out lands him and controls most of the round, you can count on that round going to Chavez on the judges cards.

This fight is more about Lee than chavez imo. I think its clear enough what chavez brings, he is pretty solid in fairness (despite the hate) he's gonna come forward be tough and look to wear Lee down etc etc. Lee will look to keep it on the outside and outbox him. IF Lee brings his best, sticks to the gameplan and his stamina holds then I think he will win (and win pretty well at that). But if he fails in any of these (or I guess if he is screwed by ref/judges) then he will lose.

Lee is the one with all the question marks, he has more potential than chavez (who whatever happens is going to take quite a bit of punishment in this one) imo but its unclear as of yet if he will fullfill it. My gut tells me that this could be the end of the paper champ's reign, and so I'll have 20 quid riding on it lol.
