Both Marquez fights at welterweight were worthless. To all except Marquez. Who behaved like an atg in fighting them both at their weight. Even beating Pacman in my eyes.

should we start to discount all catchweight fights and regard them as just bs fights now? doesn't matter if people thought whitaker beat chavez sr because it was at a 145 cw so that fight was bs?...pac vs cotto bs? leonard winning the light heavyweight title is bs because it was at a cw? hopkins win against dlh was a bs fight too because it was at a cw? etc...

I laugh at these threads because going up above your best weight wont hurt you like going down below your best weight , people just say CW and have no clue what it means to the fighter and the circumstances , being forced down or no fight is a sneaky way of handicapping a fighter because it hurts him .

Proof is that Manny REFUSES point blank to fight Cotto without dragging him down in weight where Cotto says he must sacrifice his body , Cotto is the same man for crying out loud ! if you can beat him with a lowering CW and refuse to fight him without one at his comfortable weight , logic says Pac MUST think he cant beat him without his CW , there is no other reason that has any credibility in the light of the facts known !

Floyd's win over Marquez and Pac's win over Cotto aren't that special. Pac needed to take away Cotto's size advantage with catchweights and Floyd imposed his size advantage by changing the weigh in clause.

So, both are tainted a bit. Maybe the 5th best win on each's ledger

same pointless threads over n over. none of this **** is new. why keep writing on it? we get it, supposedly no1 like floyd but for some reason hes by far the most talked about boxer on here. makes sense rite???

Translation: Catchweights are only bad when Pacman does it. When Floyd does, it's not to his favor because of his skill set.

But yeah, I wasn't a member herewhen those fights happened but I was adamantly against Floyd/Marquez the whole way through, and still kind of am, even though he just beat Pac at welterweight.
