yes maidana no doubt made a lot more facing alexander BUT HE LOST.
doesn't do too much for his bargaining power really does it? he's lost 3 of his big fights, 4 if you count the morales one...

I think Eddie Hearn is good for british boxing.

Matchroom, Hatton Promotions and Coldwell promotions do provide a much needed kick up the ass to the two Frank's but I do doubt if Hearn has the financial power to get Brook the big fights in the UK. Coupled with the fact that Eddie can be very abrasive, I think for Brook to get the recognition he deserves he and Matchroom will likely be forced to take a big risk in opponent selection, go to the US and aim for a Alexander, Berto or IBF title fight with Mike Jones after this next fight.

If they can get Zaveck or Carson Jones over to Sheffield in July then a impressive win would set up a big fight in the States later in the year.

well 300k is a bit low for a big fight, especially when you consider tax deductions.

Why would you count the Morales one? He beat Morales.

and if he would have fought mccloskey instead of alexander the idiots on here would be saying that he ducked alexander.

Brook vs Maidana this summer in las vegas, neutral territory for both fighters. or maidana could go to UK and fight him. lets get this fight poppin!

y wud u count Morales as a loss. jus bc it was a close fight - thats ridiculous. Maidana won a close fight; thats like counting Maidana as a loss for Khan bc it was close.

fact is Maidana is a limited fighter who knocked out ortiz, knocked out Cayo when he was undfeated, and beat Morales. He lost to Khan in a great, close fight and got exposed by Alexander as the 0ne-dimensional Mayorga-like brawler we knew he was

                    Couldn't agree more.

Matchroom & Hatton Promotions in particular are great for British boxing.
