Lee is nothing special but you don't have to be a special fighter to beat Jr. He could very well win the fight and get screwed by the judges.

Yeah, Khan-Peterson was a particular high point for him as a strategist.

Seriously though, it doesn't matter how good a strategist you think he is - you need a good fighter to carry out your strategy, and Chavez is a hypejob

I agree. I think Lee needs to improve, but I also think that he is capable of it. Let's not forget that he had a great amateur background(he was in the 2004 olympics) and has only been beaten once as a pro by a questionable stoppage.

      And Chavez Jr isn't?

Here's what's gonna happen: Chavez Jr will drink drive his way to the arena the night of the fight and pass out after a couple of rounds due to the amount of alcohol in his system. Meanwhile, a few people from the Texas state athletic commission will get Emmanuel Steward and throw him over the ropes and into the ring, and the ref will disqualify Lee for having a cornerman in the ring, so Chavez gets the win and gets to keep making money off his Daddy's name despite his serious lack of boxing ability.

I thought Manny Steward really overrated Andy Lee from day one.

But, fact of the matter is, Testosterone Jr has already either been defeated (poor decision) or nearly defeated by equal caliber opponents.

Lee has a damn good chance.

A lot of bad decisions in Texas. Only thing I'm worried about. But they can't all be bad.

That's what I thought when I picked Molina over Kirkland. "What are the odds that Texas screws another fighter?" well I learned my lesson...

So you don't think the ref worked more in Molina's favor throughout the fight?

It looks like the ref was just a dumb ass ref, but I don't think he showed favortism. He screwed Kirkland over (allowing 118 clinches) just as much as he screwed Molina over.

                    Both fighters were screwed.

Why are you making this out to be like the ref had Kirkland's best interest?

Roach ain't the best strategist, Khan is still crap and literately runs away from his opponents, and Pacquiao still doesn't know how to cut off the ring to save his god damn life. Don't believe me? Ask Linares.
