It's definitely a great tool, this generation of boxing fans has unprecedented access to video footage from pretty much any era that had televised fights. Fights that took place in many countries. We're less dependent on commentators and writers than the previous generations.
Yep, YouTube is just a treasure trove for boxing.
The internet, as a whole, has been awesome. In England, we used to get boxing fights on terrestrial TV, before they went to cable and PPV. Once that happened, boxing became ridiculously inaccessible. I look back and think how I used to stay up and listen to boxing fights on the radio (!).
But the internet really allowed me to reconnect with boxing. I can discuss/read about boxing, catch streams, find the most obscure of fights.
