    Taylor on In This Corner

Jermain Taylor was on In This Corner with Russ Abner and it was really funny how different he was without someone whispering in his ear. He was asked if he respected Hopkins and he said he respected everyone who stepped into the ring. He also said he does not think Hopkins can do anything differently in the rematch and he (taylor) is not planning on doing anything different. This could be bad for him. He seemed a bit nervous/uncomfortable or maybe I just haven't seen him in any other unscripted interviews...

Hopkins is on now...looks old..he is "not in denial", what "happened, happened". He will beat the most powerful system in boxing...the usual..Hopkins believes he needs to ko taylor to win according to him.."nothing conditional needs ****in' with"...Hopkins needs to get taylor on ***** st...hahaha...classic Hopkins...more bitching about the system...saus he doesn't need to change his strategy, just needs to knock him out...he says he will not start earlier...give him the first four rounds? Isn't 8 better than 4...wtf is he talking about...championship fights don't start till the fifth or sixth round...the system screwed him...hmmm....Hopkins may be bluffing but he better do something different...wasting 4 rounds is not a good idea in any case...

I felt kind of bad, he was stuck on one word and I thought he was gonna panic and freeze up.

Yeah, he seemed like a little kid in spots...Hopkins sounded pretty dumb in the interview...Taylor was humble and Hopkins seemed a bit full of **** but it was pretty much what to expect from him...I thought he looked a little older but it may have been the facial hair...

Taylor didn't get stage fright. He has a stutter problem and has had it since he was a small child. He does respect Hopkins, this no respect thing is the promoters way of selling the fight. Only thing I see different is Taylor taking his time and being more accurate with clean shots, and Hopkins pouring on more pressure in the 9th on.

                  hmm

Hops is going to talk confidently, he was a champion for over 10 years. He can talk all he wants, but when he gets in that ring and starts getting hit back he will be 40 years old again. This is going to be a tough fight for Hopkins. Taylor has tenacity and I'm fairly amazed at the people who seem to think all Hops has to do is show up.

A hell of a lot of boxers started because they were sick of people making fun of their speech problems.
