I agree. The scumbag gets a 1 yr. suspension for possibly killing someone and fights in Mexico and Juan Ma gets 1 yr for having a dumb mouth.

A year is a bit much. Margarito got a year for loading his gloves, which could have killed a guy. Talking crap about a ref isn't on the same page.

Margarito didn't "load his gloves". You and the other looney posters are the only ones in the whole world who don't seem to understand what they read....except in sensational rags. The "load" was a used gauze pad, testified to by the Commissioner who was the first to take it up and feel it, that "it was slightly stiff in spots as if wet and dried again". Top Rank sued to Commission to show how the pad could have done even the slightest harm to a human being. They didn't answer the suit, because they couldn't show that it would do any harm

On top of all this, Margarito was found NOT GUILTY of knowing anything about the illegal used gauze pad (according to the legal decision handed down, I read it all) and he was suspended for the minimum penalty of a year only "because you are the head of your team and you should have known". There were disputes between the Board members as to whether he should have been penalised or not.

They didn't get suspended for cheating, because the commission believed mosley when he said that he thought it was a vitamin, and after a little while he didn't think it was doing ay good so he stopped it.

There was nothing wrong with Trinidad's bandages. Papa Trinidad uwrapped the bandages (which had already been wrapped under the eyes of the commissioners) and did them exactly the very same way without changing a single thing. A few days later, in a special TV interview he gave an exact demonstration as to how he always wraps everybody's bandages, and he did them the same way for Trinidad in that Hopkins fight... The Fantasia elephant Richardson again getting his few minutes of fame. He flaps towels instead of ears.

There was never a possibility of Margarito not getting his licence back. It was revoked for 1 year, after which time he was to re apply. it wasn't revoled indefinitely. but for a specific period. A revokation doesn't neccessarily mean anything different from a suspension. I think the only difference is that with revocation, the licence is handed back, and with suspension, it's just not valid for whatever length of time it's suspended for. it could be a year, 6 months 3 months etc. They're basically the same thing.

The gist is that the guy won't have a valid licence and can't fight in the proscribed boundaries.

The second ABC letter to the Texas Commission said (I've just read it) that since Mr. Margarito had completed the penalty as laid down, and had re applied to the California commission as ordered, they saw no reason why he could not re-apply in a normal manner in any jurisdiction. The Texas Commission took that to mean that if they felt he should get a licence, they could give him one.

And they did.

You talk so much about "cudda killed a guy" when you don't believe it yourself. Picture this scenario. That Margarito was using the bandages with the used gauze pads. His opponent went dsown and was found to have died. Which is what you're saying...YES??

The police arrive, and impound all the equipment including the gloves and bandages. What do you think they'll find??? They'll find NOTHING. they'll find a few yards of bandage and a couple of used gauze pads, the standard equipment for any fight.
