Jermain Taylor said that Jeff Lacy hits harder than some heavyweights!

I just heard him speak on the Ringtalk Radio show and he said he picks Lacy to win the fight and that he hits harder than anyone he knows and he hits harder than some heavyweights.

I thought this was interesting considering some of you guys have been questioning his power.

Look at it this way... IF Jeff hit harder than some heavyweights then it would stand to reason that he would and could knock out some heavyweights, too, right? But he didn't knock out Reid (quit on stool), Vanderpool (didn't go down), Richard Grant (went 12), Ross Thompson (went 12). I mean, I would have to think if some good strong heavyweights landed good shots on these guys they would go down and out. If Jermaine was boxing with heavyweights in the gym that were TRYING to hit him hard he would have a change of heart I think.

i agree 100% it is just Taylor's opinion that is all . Let's get real what is lacy 168 but he hits as hard as 200 + pounders ? Thats crazy yes if you look hard enough you may find 1 or 2 guys at heavy weight that he hits harder then. but when was the last time Taylor was in the ring with a heavyweight to tell us this is fact ?

I'm sure he has, I've sparred with HWs and I've only boxed for six months. Its not a big deal, they didn't go all out against me and I'm sure it was the same for Jermaine.
