Whenever I see old FNF footage I always get obsessed with watching the ticker...I look for scores and other things I remember, makes me nostalgia hard.

I was thinking the same thing. In the Cotto video one of the things that came across the ticker was "Ga. Tech 1B Mark Teixeira out 6-8 weeks".

I was like damnnnnnnnnnnnn that's a long time ago haha.

I think Cotto was more of a natural pro, and more of a man, but Floyd's raw talent there, and some of the moves he had for a 19 year old were crazy.

            Both terrific performances.

& Cotto dropped his opponent with a singular jab

A few of Mayweather's first pro opponents were leveled by that left hook to the body.

                      Cotto's debut was flawless.

Both guys showed a lot of temperament and poise for their debut. Walking their opponents down, doing a significant amount of body work.

All this is attributed to extensive amateur experience. Its a shame a lot of talented guys go on and forget about these basics in the pros.
