Of course he has a LOT to prove against Gamboa, regardless of the no show, Gamboa is levels ahead of Rios. In my opinion (anyone can dispute this though it is evident) Gamboa would've KO'd Rios.

LOL you tell me to chill out yet you put this entire piece together like you're the Warren Commission?Yes... smaller guys call out larger guys all the time, when Gamboa no showed, there were all types of articles on here with Rios talking sh@t. I didnt call him a (Rios) coward or anything , I didnt even say he was cherry picking... goddamn man chill out....
so here it is.
RIOS TODAY: " I have nothing to prove against gamboa"
http://******.craveonline.com/blog/1...il-on-april-14
past articles. RIOS -“So it’s still going to be a fun fight for the fans. I’m just a little pissed off that it won’t be Gamboa who I beat on. I was motivated to shut his mouth, but I guess he got cold feet.”
http://www.***************.com/brand...iorkis-gamboa/
@ THE 2:26 MARKER HE EVEN STATES HE WANTED TO KNOCKOUT GAMBOA (WHICH I WANTED TO SEE). So again stop reading too much into this. He even goes into how he has more power (I AGREE) and that Gamboa has been knocked down by featherweights, and He hits waay harder than featherweights. (THESE ARE FACTS)
Was Rios talking SH@T?? YES!!! Thats why I like him!!!!!
Thats why I like Floyd, whomever talks sh@t they instantly get my attention, but they gotta back it up as well.
I am not dissing him, but he himself admitted he was dead set on fighting the smaller man. I mean whats the name of the link I gave above?? "Rios wanted Gamboa, but he'll settle......"
I dont see where I lied or made any false statements.... DO YOU??
So kill that....

One could only say that this was to goad Gamboa into fighting him... I know Gamboa called him out. But I dont see any problem with my post above based on the evidence I just gave you...
But if you wanna start some type of word war, be my guess....
oooohhh kaay
and don't put words into my statement I never said you called him coward reeeelaax
remember Gamboa was the one calling for this fight Rios was only more than happy to oblige it wasn't some "hard on" thing for him in fact he was more "**** it if he wants to get torn up fine by me"Comment

This is one of those fights that need to be swept under the rug for good. Rios's sights seem to be focused on biggies now. Gamboa was just a minor distraction that needed to be taken care of briefly. They may cross paths again down the line, but I don't see it happening any time soon. What I find different about Rios is he didn't display any diva attitude in this Gamboa case. He was called out and he just said, "I'm in! Let's make it happen!" He seems to be happy being a Top Rank boy at this point.Comment

WELL HE COULD HAVE STATED THAT WITHOUT STATEMENT AFTER STATEMENT, AND INTERVIEW AFTER INTERVIEW, AND CREATING PHOTOS DONT YOU THINK??LOL you tell me to chill out yet you put this entire piece together like you're the Warren Commission?

I mean seriously did it take all of that?? Rios is a good fighter and I like him, but his statement of him saying he'll settle for abril proves he really wanted this fight, not that it was some casual thing as you suggest.
Casually, it would have been.... Yeah Ill whoop his ass" and there ya go... Not making photos and all the other stuff. (WHICH I RATHER ENJOYED) As I stated above it was to goad Gamboa in for the fight, because lets face it, who doesnt wanna look good??? He could have just as easily said, well that little ass dude aint *****.... so Ill make quick work of him before I move up to 140....."
And I am the commission
AGAIN I LIKE RIOS.... BUT IT WAS EVIDENT HE REALLY. REALLY WANTED THIS FIGHT. THATS CALLED A HARD ON SON...Comment
