Nige Benn - James Toney confrontations

I just did a few searches and here's what some American dude said about it -
I don't really believe the story of Toney running in training from Benn. Most likely he didn't want a gym war (which it would have been with Nigel) so close to the Roy Jones fight. It's one of those nice myths, though.

Cant believe Benn would call Toney a ******. Not really his style IMO.

Hmm,alot of things you say in there Id be suprised if were true. Firstly,Nigel Benn changed his ways in 1991 and got rid of his entourage,remember the changes he made (new trainer-Jim Tibbs,new promoter-Frank Warren,new manager-Peter Freitas,new wife even!),so Nigel Benn did not have an entourage from 1991 onwards and certainly would not of even had an entourage in 1994 because he changed. Even when Benn was a badboy in 1980s and in 1990,I dont know if he would call anybody a n i g g e r because it kind of wasnt his style,let alone by 1994 when he had matured. Sure,Victor Andretti and Ambrose Mendy and the rest of the gang that Nigel had with him back in the old days were tough,tough men from the streets of Ilford who would climb a mountain of broken glass together in bare feet,but Nigel got rid of all those guys in 1991 when he had a clear-out and changed his ways.

i find it hard to believe that toney wouuld back down. He would never tback down unless he didnt want it to mess up his training
