fighters just dont know how to properly throw punch anymore. They turn turn the punch all the way, they dont sit on the punch all the way and they dont commit on the punch all the way. Simple,

Over committing to a punch is a great way to get your ass countered or worse - knocked out. Today's boxers are a lot faster.

Kassim Ouma and Lajuan Simon have been in with some pretty big punchers but Golovkin was the first to stop them. Golovkin also stopped Bute in the amateurs, I don't think Bute is low level.

improves handspeed, timing, accuracy, reflexes, headmovement etc.. more or less everything except for power. its not rehearsed at all, roger mixes up both the punches floyd is gonna throw and the ones he throws himself, it just looks rehearsed bcuz its floyd is so fast and good at it.

it is pitty patting though, floyd doesnt improve his power on the pads at all.

I think a lot of this has to do with fighters starting out too heavy or/and moving up through the weight classes. Fighters like Donaire had that one punch power in the lower weights, fighters like Allexander built muscle too fast at a weight like 135lb he would probably he a feared puncher.

I remember during the recent open workout, Floyd was starring directly into the camera and away from from Roger when they were doing padwork. If he knew where to punch withot even looking, either Roger was doing all the work by catching Floyd's punches or it's a non-random routine that they've done a million times.
