  • Comments Thread For: Juanma is Suspended For One Year, Plans To Appeal

Former world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez will appeal the sanctions imposed by the Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico (CBPPR), following the comments the boxer made against referee Roberto Ramirez Sr. During a live televised interview, Lopez called Ramirez "a gambler" after getting stopped in ten rounds by Mexico's Orlando Salido on March 10th in San Juan.

fcuk the PR boxing commission. dumb mf-ers tryin to push out one of its native superstars and draws. don't even appeal it. fight here in the states and don't let PR make a dime off you. margarito got a year suspension for attempted assault with a deadly weapon, juanma made a punch drunk comment.
fcuk prbc. Juanma is a true warrior and doesn't deserve to be treated this way.

Hahahah!!!!!!! im glad to see someone get punished for making sladerous unfounded allegations against somebody !!!!!!! hopefully once the courts find mayfeathers guilty for making his outragous comments the boxing commitee can ban him from boxing for a yr !!!!!!! but on the other hand floyd might enjoy such a ban because it would mean he wont have to fight manny !!!!!!! so his punishment for being guilty should be he HAS TO FIGHT PAC!!!!!!!

i dont kow what your talking about !!!!!!! all im saying is im happy the boxing commitee has handed down a stiff punishment to someone that makes baseless claims about someone else in boxing with out proff !!!!! and hopefully stiff penalties like this one and the one they will give to floyd will help discourage future fighters from making the same mistake of accusing someone of bad things !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how long Juanma would have been suspended if he was caught with plaster. He got a year for *****ing, Cheato got a year for cheating.

                    Completely ridiculous.
The kid already apologized like 20 times. He even set up a press conference to apologize. What the f*** else does Puerto Rico want him to do?
Let this kid fight. He is exciting to watch, and with the style he fights, he probably will have a short career anyway.
                    LET HIM FIGHT
