How do you know exactly what god meant when he told him not to drink? Did he tell him that it's a sin for everyone to drink or just that PAC should drop drinking

My doctor told me not to eat fish, would it be hypocritical to tell others that I think it's ok they eat meat? As it turns out I'm allergic to fish so no it wouldn't be. How do to know the circumstances around god telling him not to drink? Hmm

And what does it matter of he's being a hypocrite anyway? He can do whatever he wants and as Long as he repents his sins, he'll make it to heaven
