154 has a lot of talent but Canelo hasn't even beat one of them.
Seriously, the kid is fighting no-bodies or old-bodies.....If he didnt have a belt, i'd prob be fine with that but he DOES have one and has yet to fight a real challenger. the WBC, Golden Boy and Canelo himself should be ashamed of themselves!

I'm a fan and I'll admit he's D sucks and his stamina is shaky as well but probably cause of all the weight he gains on fight night so he's probably not ready for any top name just yet. However I do enjoy his offense very much and his composure.
If he's not ready to fight big names he should not be champion. I think as a champ he has the weakest resume.

I wonder what would happen if he defeats Mayweather

Jr. most definitely has the weakest resume, partly because some decisions were gift decisions, he didn't even win or there is some controversy behind the win(s). That is garbage. At lease Canelo is winning clearly, drug-free and with no controversies.

Yes, I think Canelo should face Kirkland or Vanes next, short of Mayweather. If anybody on this blog would be in Canelo's situation and an offer to fight a future hall of famer on a huge stage was presented, who would decline it and fight a Kirkland or Vanes? Come on people, be realistic.

Jccjr wins over Rubio and Manfredo are better than any win Canelo has. I agree both definitely need to step up. If Jr and Canelo ever fight I would favor Jr.

Eh... And that's a reason to hate on him? The WBC and his people were the ones who gave him the fight for the title so trash them not Canelo. What is he suppose to do, turn down the offer for a title? I don't agree with it either but hey, its boxing. But I'm not trying to change anybody's opinion, I was just saying how I felt about his situation.

jsfd, thats just boxing isn't good enough, as stated earlier in the thread, as long as sheet like this continues boxing will never return to center stage instead this great sport will continue to be a circus show

Where did that come from? Didn't you notice how HBO ignored Jr. Where's your indignation?
