He'd be practicing it for days, weeks and months and would actually fight that way. It's just so obvious that they're spending a few seconds clowning for the camera, that we shouldn't even be discussing it.

That you're so convinced they are serious is quite disturbing, but that's your business, really not mine, and perhaps I shouldn't have said anything about it....sorry.
NO he wouldnt go through all of that, to mimick someone he looks up to...get outta here man...talking about "if he wanted to do the shoulder roll, he would practice for years"...He not trying to PERFECT the shoulder roll so he can actually use it...he just talking about his idol, then he tries to do his moves...Man ur reaching HARDDD...He is TRYING to do Floyd's moves, like I said before, quit trying to make it something that its not

Im no afficianado, but I have a question for all...cant a fighter be less defensive in sparring, get used to taking punches, and make themselves immune?...Im just asking, because to me, it seems like if Linares wanted it as much as he should, he could manipulate himself into having a better chin!...Didnt Ali used to lay on the ropes in sparring so he could tighten his chin?...Someone help me out...Dont be like the other guy, who started a full on war...see I had to runis azz outta here

Honestly, I watched the fight and he had dude hurt bad in the first round. The cut that stopped the fight definitely could have been from a headbutt considering the way Thompson was coming in. The ref barely even glanced at the cut before he pulled the red card. Linares's chin isn't bad, he just has a hard time against pressure fighters. Hope he bounces back from this.

Linares has the zab judah syndrome. Loads of talent but is mentally not tough enough to go to the next level. And you know what he's probably worse, judah atleast beat the good fighters fought but lost to the elite ones.

The way he fought against thompson was horrible. He was scared to throw punches against a freakin bum FFS!

I don't think switching trainers is a good idea. Linares is what he is. A good fighter, lots of talent, but has a weak chin, and just cuts too easily.
For starters what headbutt are they talking about? I didn't see one.

I usually agree with Oscar De La Hoya on a lot of things, but I think he is dead wrong on Linares.
First of all Linares has been KO'd before in the first round, by Juan Carlos Salgado who is not the most devastating puncher. After another loss to DeMarco he then sets up a match for a weak chin fighter with a guy with a 97% KO ratio (Sergio Thompson) . Even if its against bums you have to believe this guy can ****, and its just a bad matchup.
(reminds me of when they set up Khan against Prescott)

No Linares doesn't need a new trainer, he needs heart. When he's been stopped against DeMarco and now Thompson, during the fight there is no complains, but only after the fight do we hear all the excuses.

I don't see why people keep talking about Linares' chin.

Please someone tell me which fight he got "knocked out" in that resulted from getting hit on the chin.

                    Salgado - Temple
                    DeMarco - Cut
                    Thompson - Cut

Someone please tell me where this questionable chin thing comes from.
