I said this ish while they were fighting the first fight after Khan was penalized the first time....
Roach is a horrible trainer. The true weakness of khan is his inability to fight on the inside, and no matter what he can train 6 more months, he will never be able to outfight peterson on the inside.
All peterson has to do is keep saying throughout the press conference, "just dont push me amir.....", and get that engrained in the publics mind. And when they see it in the fight and the ref sees it, its already there for the point deduction.
But peterson must cut the ring off better and stop running behind khan as well.... He gotta cut that ring off and make him pay dearly with each body shot. He gotta knock all the goddamn dinner rolls out of Khans bread basket...
That's why I think his fighters should stay with Roach for a couple fights then switch to a defensive minded coach to close up the holes in their game.
I love Pac and Khan's foot work and combination punching. The difference between them is Manny has that dog in him from growing up poor. Manny can grit his teeth and get in the trenches. Khan is a spoiled brat, if he gets hit his first instinct is to run. I don't think that can be fixed by Roach because Roach's defense is to throw more punches. With Amir's glass jaw and tendency to leave his chin open it's not a recipe for good outcomes. I think Khan could benefit from somebody teaching him how to counter punch and fight defensively in spots. After he takes the first couple of rounds he should take advantage of his height and quick hands to let his opponent come to him and walk into his punches. Khan doesn't use his jab nearly enough for a fighter as lanky as he is.

HE GETS ON THAT BIKE, AND YOU CAN TELL HES AFRAID TO REALLY ENGAGE.
He doesnt fight tall, which drives me mad, Paul williams as well, he doesnt fight tall, im like why is a dude with 84" arms trying to fight on the inside??
KHAN has talent, but unless he fixes those holes by leaving roach and becoming defensive minded, hes gonna get served... And the kid really wants to fight Floyd...lol

Some fool on here said Roach is a horrible trainer. LMAO!!! he's 5 time trainer of the year. Anyone who really knows boxing knew Amir won that fight. The REF was on some hometown bs. If he doesn't take the points from Amir, he wins easy!!! Amir will out point Peterson again!!!

I had Khan winning the fight by a round, even with the harsh point deduction.
This time a better prepared Khan on a neutral ground and a neutral ref should have more than enough for Peterson.
People say Khan could not cope with Peterson's pressure, but Khan was wining rounds all the way till the end of the fight.
Khan and an opportunity to end the fight in the 9th, but was a bit too shot shy.
Khan may have to be a bit more subtle with his pushing to get away with it.

I can understand *******s, *****s, or klitlickers. I mean it makes sense for the boxers to have dedicated fans. But now we have Roach stans who dyck ride a trainer because he trains their favorite fighter. It's not a diss to Roach to note some of the flaws you see in his fighters. He's still a pretty awesome trainer just overrated like hell because of Pac.
