"Nice job.. You're from California? Want to french kiss me while you're at it" Weird azz ref and then he got ignored lmao.
Referee was just making sure he (jaco) was ok not concussed or anything, I could even hear him off camera telling someone that he asked Jaco if he was ok and got a reply that says am done! Which is why he stopped the fight.
Hard to tell Anything about him vs that level of opponent, but I will say this. (1) He was by far the leanest and biggest I've ever seen him, which to me actually makes a return to 160 less likely in spite of the fact according to every thing I've read, he did exactly nothing besides normal work to make this weight. (2) Unless Jaco is pure glass jaw adding a heavy lead left hook is going to go nicely with the straight right hand that has always been his power shot.
I have no idea if he will ever be elite again but I sure hope he becomes relevant enough to get a good fight or two. Talk all you want about Slick boxers but give me heavy hitters that get hit for my 59.95 PPV dollars.
The left hook will be a big weapon for him if he keeps working on it. If Garcia can get him to go to the body more too that will make him competitive against a lot of the top fighters.
We just have to see where his weight ends up at, though. I seriously doubt that he make 160 ever again.
If Pavlik looks good enough and continues down this path and beats and AA or Froch this fall, I would love to see him against Ward. I know probably everyone would think Ward would win easily, but I really think it could get interesting.

i still think kelly can compete if he takes care of his body and trains with the dedication he was known for early in his career. he's got good technique and legitimate power. jaco clearly wasn't in his class but i'm looking forward to see what he can do against real competition. hopefully his move to california has him back on track and in top form.
