I just saw it...I kind of think it was a bad stoppage, but at the same time, this kid had blood everywhere just from that one flurry...he was leaking all over his chest...he's a leaker man...big time...The only way he can win his fights, are through a bloody war, cuz everytime he fights, he will be leaking....kid has it all, but not enough to be a champion...its sad how God has cursed this man..lol...give him everything, and make one flaw that ruins it all

Demarco isnt exactly a fast or offensively gifted fighter- he just has a lot of heart and determination on top of being a solid boxer.

You can only judge a fighter by his last fight, and his defense was horrible last night.

Nobody should be getting hit that much unless they have the toughness to back it up, and Linares is lacking.

manny pacquiao ruined him, linares got cut vs pacquiao in sparring for demarco
now linares opens up from the sight of potential friction, mainly because he's not giving himself enough time to heal the cuts, saw an interview about a week before the thompson fight, big scar tissue across the bridge of his nose

Yikes, he lost again?! I still won't give up on Linares because the talent is there. On any given night he can spring a huge win because of the talent but it is looking more and more like he won't be as good as a lot of us thought he would be.

I just didn't like how Linares was exchanging in that first round against the ropes. I really think he's hit the ceiling. I still hope he proves me wrong tho... Don't wanna see all that talent gone to waste.
This is something that can be fixed, this is what happens when you're not disciplined to your own gameplan. To give Linares credit, he did wobble Sergio near the end of the 1st. I think it was a premature stoppage, but maybe it was for the best cuz the fight was only gonna get harder. I think he showed too much heart in that Demarco fight, he should've quit. Demarco put his face through a meat grinder, and all that scar tissue is gonna start opening up every-time he fights.

When I was watching the DeMarco fight and saw it being stopped this was the first thing that came into my head.

I think Linares needs to get some surgeries on that face for those cuts and probably change trainer. I saw no improvement in him and last night after that first round my first words were "I didn't like how he got hit and that is not a good sign vs DeMarco."

Last night was a very disappointing night for boxing as we saw a great talent fall yet again and I sure hope he proves me wrong and can bounce back but it's hard to stay optimistic about this one seeing how all his 3 losses were TKO's and 2 of them were to top 10 rated opponents.

Damn man, Linares lost another one? The guy looks like a million dollars in the beginning of every fight but somehow manages to lose. He should have beaten the mess out of DeMarco for instance and looked great in the first few....wtf

Jorge linares had no defense for that right hand Thompson kept on throwing...also WTF kind of ringside doctor was that? Didn't even bother to look at the cut he was too busy finding that ****ing red card of his...ugh bs stoppage. But I guess linares would have got ko'ed eventually but you never know linares could have came back..

I have seen most Linares fights. I thought he could be great, but I never liked how he got hit without rolling with the punch, way too often. I am starting to think that all those punches he could have taken power off of/avoided ruined his chin for good.
