Boxing people: I think that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would beat Sergio Martinez at 154lbs

He would have to walk Sergio Down behind a stiff jab and keep him backing up.

Floyd is gonna beat him, Floyd is strategic he stated his dream was to win the middleweight title and retire undefeated....

Hes working on that now slowly building his body up....

Sergio has many flaws, and Hes not a big middleweight. He has good stamina, but its not better than Floyds. Floyd is fighting goddamn middleweight sized people any way.

MARK MY WORDS FLOYD IS GONNA FIGHT HIM AT 160, NOT 154

Floyd beating Martinez at 154 is a major achievement in itself. Beating him at 160 is a bigger bonus.

Sergio is fast, has good power and is a southpaw. He is very talented and knows how to use it to his advantage. But Sergio is lacking in key fundamentals. He can be broke down with body shots and I would love to see how he handles a fighter with a fast, shart, strong jab. Not a flicking, Paul Williams jab. But a sharp, crispy jab to the chest and stomach.

He's better skilled than Sergio but in terms of a challenge and a great achievement, Martinez is where it's at. Floyd should win on points, but it won't be easy. Martinez is a wild card though and he'll try everything to win. Curious to see how the fight plays out more so than the outcome.

As much as I respect Floyd's talent, this is a REALLY tough fight for him. People really (perhaps purposely) overlook Sergio's power and speed. If he does beat Sergio, he sure as hell isn't going to do it by walking him down with a stiff jab. I see it being more like the DLH fight, but uglier and possibly with a couple knock-downs. I sure wouldn't be laying any money down on this one, too close.
