21 pro fights in the 90s, 0 pro fight in the 70s
    = 70s fighter

So where do you rank Morales in regards to his fistic era, and then in totality of all fistic eras? I got him at 9th from his era. . . And 85th of all time.

"Styles Make Fights" is not just something people say for the hell of it....IT IS TRUE!

I knew Raheem style was going to be a major problem for Morales and it would have given Pacquiao especially back then, major problems as well

Raheem was a excellent boxing and was very quick and had excellent hand movement
...I give Morales props for taking that fight because I like most back then did not think he would take that Risk against Raheem before a rematch with Pacquiao
I wanted to give you green but I gotta spread the wealth lol....the bold is EXACTLY what I wanted to post...almost word 4 word!!!...dam!!!

        • It's a sad, sad, SAD day when people are legitimately questioning whether Erik Morales is an all time great fighter. The trolls I can handle, but there are people actually wondering whether he is an ATG in here.

Lol you ain't talking about me, are you? . . . I'm just trying to determine exactly WHERE he is on the list of all time great fighters. . . And, in regards to his era, where does he stand?

            I don't think he's a top 5 of his era. . . Nor do I think he's top 50 ATG. . .

WHere would you place him in his era, and all time?

And when he's retired and gone for a couple years, people will post ****** threads like this, just like they do for Morales and Barrera. Makes me wish he could fight forever, just so no one could forget.

No, I'm not talking about you, you are actually having a legitimate discussion about where he would rank. That's the type of discussion this thread should be having.

Ahh ok Cool, cool. . . Heh yeah I was just trying to further the discussion, and hear why some people might think he's better than "x fighter", etc. .

He's no doubt an "all time 100" great fighter. . .

As well as the top 10 of his fistic generation.

                  • im not here to defend morales, but he wasnt like himself when he fought raheem, maybe because of the pac war beforehand. but that was the start of him going downhill,he peaked at the first pac fight. we all saw how he handle pac's explosiveness and everything, just too beautiful to watch.. morales vs mayweather prime to prime at 130 would have been epic.

                    • obviously morales didnt take raheem seriously
