It was far far far greater than him beating Pascal. No one thought Hopkins was honestly going to win that fight against Trinidad.

You should say greatest accomplishments then.

Cause then it would be Jones-Ruiz, that one you just mentioned Hopkins-Pascal, Pacquiao becoming champion in his "8th weight class"[Fact: It was 4lbs lower than 154], Morales becoming "champion" in his 4th weight class, the first Mexican to do it[although it should have actually been Marquez].

Mayweather beat Mosley when he was the #1 WW and #3 P4P fighter in the world. Remember when everyone said Mayweather would never fight Mosley? IMO that win is much better than Hopkins win over Pascal...
I think they're almost equal, Pascal was The Ring 175 champion, Mosley was the Lineal 147 champion. But what changes everything is the age gap, Hopkins fought a 28 year old at 46, Mayweather fought a 38 year old at 33.

Definitely should be up there. It also had some historical context to it outside of boxing, as it was the first major sporting event to take place in NYC following 9/11.

What do you consider this era? We're not in the 2000's anymore, we're in the 2010's so the greatest win so far is Hopkins beating Pascal, 17 yrs younger, to become the oldest man in history to win a world title.
