    180.... that's freaking huge.... that's a small cruiseweight already.
    But w/e... personal opinion
Would you rather him ask for a catchweight Pacquiao style?

Ortiz weighed 14 pounds more than Floyd last fight, and Ortiz is considered to be more skilled than Chavez.

14 pounds out of 166 is a smaller percentage difference than 14 out of 150 as well.

Chavez Jr weights 180+, while Martinez weights around 166. Saying that, I still believe that Martinez would give Jr a brutal beating and would KO him in the late rounds.

I guess I would have to as well, it would be a terrible day for boxing if that happened though.

I have a feeling it's going to be one of those fights where the guy who is a massive underdog (Chavez) performs as if it were the other way around.

Maybe I'm just tripping today, but I wouldn't be unbelievably shocked. Maybe Martinez gets old, maybe he doesn't take the fight quite seriously enough, maybe Chavez puts on a crazy display of chin and determination, and maybe the size ends up being too much.

I don't know, Martinez is at that age where you just have no idea when he will lose to someone he shouldn't.

Hell, I'll give him his due respect even if he loses a close split decision. But if Sergio blows him out easily, NO DICE!
                placing him above canelo?..

thats like giving chavez jr no credit for beating sergio martinez top p4p player in boxing. if he were to beat him

as of today both chavez jr and canelo are over protected titlist that were basically handed a wbc belt

maybe, but i still think chavez has faced better opossition, maybe mosley will help canelo a little bit...but i have seen its that it doesnt matter if chavez wins over martinez, because if he wins people will say he was overweight, people tend to forget martinez is asking chavez fight...anyaways,who can canelo fight and win to put him on top of chaves???

                    What do you mean "IF"?

Sergio is easy work. I've been saying it for years.

If he wins everyone will say he was getting old and slowing down that's why the barker fight was so hard and the macklin fight and oh they saw it comming and the nuthuggers will say he's just like his father great it'll be a mess no one will get their just do so yeah if Martinez wins Chavez was over rated and what not

So it'll basicly be a **** storm hope it never happens its not good for boxing unless one losses one wins and they have a good rubber match other wise it'll just be a belimesh on someone's legacy with controversy

The more I watch Chavez tho the more even this fight starts to look itll Prbly be incredibly close
