By Terence Dooley - Edinburgh’s Kenny Anderson was left kicking his heels when George Groves withdrew for their March 16 British super middleweight title showdown at London’s Wembley Arena. The long awaited rematch to their November 2010 FOTY candidate, in which Groves rallied from a knockdown in the third to stop Anderson in the sixth, was KO’d when Groves’s picked up a back injury in training.
Anderson, 15-1 (11), reacted furiously to the postponement, telling Boxingscene.com that his next opponent would bear the brunt of his frustration.
