    Cotto paved the way for other fighters to leave top rank

    Manny said that God wants him to retire after his next fight. He will use this as an excuse to leave Top rank and have a short retirement. then he will sign with Golden Boy and fight Mayweather. It's Bob's own fault for not having his fighters' best interest in mind.

    Mark my words all of this will happen

      Why wouldn't Oscar or Floyd have paved the way for this? Some fighters will leave, some will try and fail because they apparently don't read contracts, and others will stay. Cotto set no precedent.

                  Maybe you're right, but Cotto showed today's Top Rank fighters that they do not need Bob and that he is keeping them from getting good fights made.

                      I would say Oscar De La Hoya Started that trend and became a successful promotor.Now he opened the door for Mayweather Jr and Cotto to leave Top Rank.

                              Leaving Top Rank or any promotional company doesn't necessarily equate to good things for fans. It may mean retirement, vacation, retirement, duck fights and piss off fans.

                                  Honestly, if Pac retired and returned later for the Mayweather fight, I'd expect leaving Top Rank to be far down the ladder of reasons, and no where near the motivation of needing money because he is broke as sh**.
