    'Floyd confesses fear of losing'

TeamPilipinas.info brings you all the latest sports updates and world sports news, video highlights, live scores, results, feature stories, and more.

Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao said undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has allegedly admitted his fear of losing back when he was negotiating for the super-fight.

In an interview with ANC’s "Headstart," the fighting congressman said Mayweather wanted a bigger pay day because he considers himself “just a boxer.”

"Sinabi n'ya sa team member ko na nag-visit sa kanya, sabi n'ya, 'Pag hindi ako humingi ng malaki, eh kung matalo ako? Buti s'ya congressman s'ya, ako boxing lang hanap-buhay ko,'" Pacquiao said. (Mayweather told a member of my team, 'If I don't ask for a larger share, and then what if I lose? He's fine because he's a congressman, but I'm just a boxer.')

Mayweather, who remains unbeaten in 42 fights, has always been marketing himself using his status as an undefeated boxer.

The American boxer, however, has been repeatedly criticized for taking on handpicked opponents.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, gained worldwide popularity for his willingness to take on bigger fighters.

Despite suffering three career loses, he won 54 fights and earned eight world titles in the process.

Pacquiao also serves as a congressman for the lone district of Sarangani province.

The fighting congressman has already announced he is willing to take a smaller guaranteed purse just to make the Mayweather fight.

"Kung magkano 'yung guaranteed n'ya, kahit hindi ko na pantayan. Basta 50-50 lang kami sa pay-per-view, walang problema," Pacquiao said. (Even if he has a bigger guaranteed purse than me, that's fine. There's no problem as long as we have a 50-50 split on the pay-per-view revenues.)

The Filipino boxer said he is fine with a $50-million guaranteed purse and a 50% share of the pay-per-view revenue.

Mayweather, earlier, offered Pacquiao a $40-million guarantee.

The American boxer, however, refused to give Pacquiao a share in pay-per-view earnings.

Seems so biased because the article comes from the Philipines. Show me video interview and I will believe it.
