Floyd once again is robbing the fans of the fights they want to see.

Floyd now freely admits this and tell fans it is all about self-preservation, but some of his fans still have the love goggles on and can't bring themselves to admit this.
Yeah his legacy fights were out of the way so it allowed him to fight for money, especially after the Delahoya fight (who was still a tough fight IMO) Mosley, Hatton, etc were just cherries on top.

But boxing is a business so good for him on making a living and becoming a hall of famer in the process.

Floyd always stated it was about money, not about legacy, and that what he has now, the money at the cost of legacy.

He has done well, with not a very fan friendly style, and uses his hate figure status to sell his fights.

But in legacy terms he falls short, Floyd is happy with that though because it is all about the money and self-preservation for him.

If he wants to go that route, fair enough, and lot of talented boxers end up broke and and battle scared but their legacy will always be greater than Floyd's.

I'm sure Floyd is fine with all of the above.

and since we have knowledge of marg cheating and or getting caught trying to cheat wouldnt it be fair to say its good floyd didnt fight him??? this guy ruined cottos career... or is that just another thing? also the first negotiations with pac fell apart because????
Since we are talking about money, Floyd didn't take it at the time when it mattered most to the boxing fan. Woulda coulda shoulda, but didn't fight Margarito or Pacquiao.

If Floyd's corner was anywhere near as decent as Mosley's corner, Margarito would be exposed back then if he cheated. Excuses.

The first negotiation with Pacquiao fell apart because... OF FLOYD. Did you forget who made the first roadblock? More excuses.

Floyd is always the first to make excuses. When he runs out of them as Pacquiao calls his bluffs over time, he makes newer and more ridiculous ones. And you know it.

Pacquiao called his bluff? How come he did`nt call his "bluff" 3 years ago when Floyd offered him a 14 day cutoff on the test and 50/50?Its obvious he had something to hide. After Pac turned it down Floyd said after he signed to fight Mosley:"next time we negotiate i`m not giving you a cutoff date on the testing, its gonna be random up to a day of the fight".Then Pac come with a "OK i`ll give you a 14 day cutoff" offer lol.

Plus back then when Floyd was willing to go 50/50 he was`nt aware of Pac`s purses and he was`nt as boxing business literate as he is now cause he did`nt have alot of experience promoting.

He realized later by looking at Pac purses that Pac don`t deserve 50/50 with him.Pac does not invest in his fights like Floyd does cause Pac is not a promoter.Plus Pac lost to Marquez which decreased his value.

Any of the following are acceptable:

                Manny (of course)
                Sergio
                Canelo
                Bradley
                Berto
                Peterson
                Khan
                Ortiz
                Alexander
*any of these fights are good fights to put the finishing touches on a legendary career

Unacceptable fights that do nothing for Floyd's legacy:
                Brook
                P Williams
                K9
                Mike Jones
                Vanes Martirosyan
                Kirkland
                Lucas Matthysse
                Judah
GOOD, KNOWING THAT IN ALL HONESTY THOSE GUYS ARE NOT STRONG CHAMPIONS.

                NOT ALL OF THEM ANYWAY.
I WOLD SAY SERGIO, PAC, AND BRADLEY (IF HE WINS AGAINST PAC) OTHER THAN THAT HE WOULD BE A LEFT OVER.... OR IF HE PULLED A MARQUEZ AND WON, BUT DIDNT GET THE NOD...

                BUT HERES WHO YOU NAMED

                Berto
                Peterson
                Khan
                Ortiz
                Alexander
*any of these fights are good fights to put the finishing touches on a legendary career
We are talking over the course of the next x2 years. I mean peterson beats khan again. and I see a hard time justifying Khan. Peterson loses, he has no belts, who on this list does he defeat to earn a shot??

BERTO?? COME ON MAN.... HE STRUGGLED WITH ZAVECK IN MISSISSIPPI NOT TOO LONG AGO....

Ortiz would have to put in some serious work to get another shot after being knocked out in the 4th round.

I am interested in ALEXANDER, AND HE AND BERTO WOULD BE A GOOD SCRAP.....

BUT HE HAS ONLY FOUGHT ONCE AT 147... And that was against a career 140 lb'er in Marcos Maidana.

More excuses. Now that Pacquiao agrees to testing until the day of the fight, it's about money. Money wasn't the case before, WHEN Floyd was making more money. Now Pacquiao's selling more PPVs and Floyd no longer wants to give him any PPV revenue.

Another brainwashed flom0 bites the dust.

P.S. Mayweather's fighting an over the hill Cotto, but he didn't go out of his way to demand a flat offer to his opponent. It goes to show your argument was frail support for another excuse of Mayweather to duck Pacquiao again. The next excuse you'll be happy to support is when Mayweather demands the fight to be at 154 lbs after he takes the title from the declining Cotto.

You didn't decipher Floyd's floydspeak correctly, but nice try. Floyd meant all 5 opponents won't stand a chance to beat him, WHEN he decides to fight them (this includes Pacquiao if he declines enough) - at least in his mind with Al Haymon's blessing.

Same process for the latter part of his career, but different words come out of his mouth.

                    • wow

He admits to wanting to fight week fighters. This guy is a fraud. He only fights people he thinks have no chance of beating him it's crazy. He only fought mosly because he was 38 and coming off an 18 month layoff. He didn't make weight against a much smaller marquez and he had to sneak victor Ortiz to get his first KO since he fought Shamba Mitchil. This guy is crazy I think. Luckly I think Coto beats his ass. If you look at his three toughest fights there the two Castilo fights and Delahoya. Both conventional fighters who's power hand is there left. That shoulder role he loves so much only works when the conventional fighters power hand is there right. Trouble for Money Mayweather.
