Danny is normal and or solid but not great.

At least not yet. Kid still has a lot to learn.
This wasn't a bad day in school. Give Danny some props, that was Erik Morales, not some cab driver.

Morales deserves props for stepping up and taking such a big risk against a young lion. He took it to this kid, hurt him, and almost won the fight. My hats off to the guy. He definitely still has something left in the tank. However, he should fight his last couple fights against guys more on his same playing field & leave these young up & comers alone. Cash out with something big like a Marquez fight or a rematch w/ Maidana. Whatever he decides though, it's been a pleasure having the fortune of watching him work his craft over the years.
pretty much sums it up. smh @ anyone hating on erik. they should be ashamed of themselves.

Erik morales with a strength and conditioning coach would give anyone the business. Period.

If Garcia was any good he won have won more convincingly over that version of Morales. It was an even fight until the 11th round. Morales wasnt well conditioned and he was clearly shopworn but Garcia was overly catious.

The way a young fighter should beat an old man is the same way Morales beat Zaragoza. He showed how its done. Garcia showed he isnt goin to be a star of the atleast not on that performance.

Note - I laughed when Morales mimicked Garcias hooks and motioned as if they were wild swings and then he went to get decked by one of them. Not nice to see a legend down but he asked for it with that moment of arrogance.

word, the physical talent is there, the mindset needs to be altered though, he's not a great boxer

lack of training & not making wt was erik's fault & his trainer as after the surgery he had @ least 8 wks to get ready & to lose vs some1 like a Garcia, w/all he's been thru...shame/shame on u Erik...then not even the effort to take off the 2#'s... a boxer I've always liked/admired...you dispppointed, big time...

                      Erik sums it up nicely.

His age war torn body alongside that recent surgery is all factors why he couldn't beat a guy of this caliber.

Garcia showed solid basics and punches in the pocket. He is nothing special
