Slovenia's Jan Zaveck celebrates with his belt and his trophy after winning the WBO's Intercontinental welterweight championship match against Namibia's Bethuel Uushona in Maribor. Zaveck, a former welterweight champion under the IBF, beat Bethuel Uushona over twelve rounds. The scores were 117:109, 117:109 and 118:110.

been watching it live... uushona is a real african malignaggi lol. tough, slick & fast. has potential to go up in ranks for a bit.
zaveck showed in good shape as always, high tempo whole fight, and i thought he rocked uushona a couple times pretty hard but he kept going. nice 12 rounder to appease the fans (sold out arena of 4,000) and shrug off some ring rust.

good win for zaveck. didn't catch it but i'll try looking it up tomorrow. hopefully we see him in there with another name at WW. looking forward to seeing more of him.
