Incredibly depressing.

I love this sport deeply. But it's so full of corruption and ineptitude, that it leaves me feeling so disillusioned and empty. Tonight just ****** for so many reasons.

An analogy just occured to me. A little clunky but indulge me.

It's like being in love with a a beautiful, talented person who has become a crack addict. And no-one but you believes in this person anymore, realising if they could just get their act together, they person could still be great. Because when they're occasionally clean, they show so much brilliance, no-one else can touch them, no-one else makes you feel like that.

But they're never getting their act together. They're just getting worse.

And you're staying in this diminishing relationship because you can't abandon them like everyone else. You love them too much, and those rare moment of them being clean makes everything worth it.

But it's one truly ****ed up relationship.

Pretty apt. I'm starting to realise why abused girlfriends that keeps going back to the man that beats themwithout ever coming to their senses.
