so you think alvarado is anything special seen most of his fights as well as garcias. They are good fighters dont get me wrong but nothing special and wont reach that elite level. But a fight between them would be a war though

The 140 division has no elite fighter, there's no fighter that stands out, Peterson already proved that. If Khan who was considered the best at that weight can get beat Peterson, that should tell you that the division is wide open.

Garcia is about fight fighters like Soto, Maidana, and Alvarado, he's not fighting Floyd or Manny, so he has a better chance than you think. Hell Maidana couldn't even drop old a$$ Morales with one close eye, but now Garcia has no chance, GTFOH.

Garcia is already being thrown under the bus before he even makes his first title defense lol. He has plenty of growing to do, most definitely. However, I think if he can alter his style a tad, he can turn out to be a very good boxer/puncher. He's too much of counter-puncher, he needs to let his hands go more.
