    Mayweather/Mitchell and Hatton/Maussa and Cotto/Maussa

Just saw the three fights this weekend. So he's my opinion of the possible round-robbin match up of the three (should they all be in the same division).

Of the three fights, I must say that Hatton's fierce style is the sloppiest. Hatton is barbaric. He fights like an enraged pittbull. You do not want to be in his range or you will be smashed to the face and ribs and he's so wild, only your forearms will hit him coz he's already in your chest gutting your belly. He turns boxing into a fight. Gentleman's sport? Not for Hatton.

Cotto goes by the book of sweet science. He's precise, reserved, conservative but deadly consistent with his output. Almost too methodical that he could be timed for a counter. He is the most fundemental of the three for he uses his jabs the most, stays behind his gloves and has his chin always tucked in. A Classic pugilist. His rythm is becoming too predictable.

Mayweather is the slickest, hit-you-where-he-ain't type fighter and he will crack your jaw and ribs almost at will. He looks open for a punch but then he's so quick, he's already hit his opponent 3 hard times and seems untouchable. He can soften up his opponents rather quickly only a wild looping punch can catch him....and that's rare.

Hatton is the dark horse of the three. He;s the one who will make the other two fight his fight because he's just too crazy. Against Cotto, he will lose the first half of the fight but will impose his will and KO Cotto in the later rounds because he's a miniature version of Conan the Barbarian. Against Mayweather, he will lose by a close UD. He's not as fast and will not be able to deal with Mayweather's relentless counter punching and craftiness. He does have the puncher's chance but he doesn't possess the long looping counter punch that can catch Mayweather as he comes in (as Corley was able to do). Mayweather/Castillo II proved that Mayweather can readjust to bullying tactics and win by UD.

    Hatton/Cotto is a tough call

Hatton would be relentless and Cotto likes to be reserved and take time to recover...but Hatton won't give him that time...

    HOWEVER

Cotto hits damned hard...no matter how much you hurt Cotto, he is ALWAYS in the fight with that methodical punching and punching power...so it is not like Hatton is invincible where he can just take every Cotto shot...because he wouldn't last long...

but, I just don't think Cotto could take Hatton's constant pressure and his shakey chin would fail him...

Mayweather I feel would be too good for Cotto...would box at range, land clean shot after clean shot after clean shot and Cotto would falter eventually...

Mayweather vs Hatton would be interesting...Mayweather will not stop Hatton...unless by cuts or something...but Mayweather would be VERY mobile like he was vs Castillo in the rematch and probably win a close, but clear decision

Hatton would make Cotto and PBF fight on his terms and would crush their will. Hatton would win by mid round KO against Cotto and late TKO against Floyd.

Thats what makes this division so exciting, probably on any given day any of those three fighters COULD beat each other.

For me though I think Hatton is too strong for Cotto and would outwork him and force a stoppage aroungd the middle rounds.

Mayweather is interesting because there is no doubt he is the better boxer but can you go into the trenches with Hatton becuase Hatton cannot be forced back he is too strong, he can be beaten I'm sure of that but it will take some serious career shortening effort from Mayweather to do it, is Mayweather tough enough???

Mayweather's easiest option will be to throw jabs to Hatton's brow area and force a stoppage due to cuts but will he want to dominate Hatton and stamp his authority, if so he will need to fight tough and that is Hatton's teritory!

You guys don't realize that Cotto is the much bigger guy and Hatton won't be able to bully him. As soon as Hatton starts with his BS Cotto will also elbow him and get rough, Cotto ain't taking that **** like the other fighters Hatton's fought.

He isn't as strong or tough as Hatton though. Cotto won't be able to shake the hitman off.

did anyone hear Hatton talking about Gatti and how it would be a great fight, considering Hatton is not going to fight for another 8 months or such like I'd be a bit disappointed if Gatti was his next fight. It probably would be a great fight but the result would never be in question. While Hatton has got the two belts to bargain with surely he can fight whoever he wants whether it be Mayweather or Cotto,
